Santa Maria Salsa
3 (12-ounce) cans whole tomatoes, drained and chopped
1 can (3 1/2-4 ounces) Ortega green chiles, drained and chopped
1 onion, chopped
salt and pepper to taste
Tabasco sauce to taste
Combine the tomatoes, chiles, garlic and onion; mix well.
Season with salt, pepper and Tabasco.
Yields about 7 cups; serves 12 to 15.
