One-Skillet Steak, Mushroom, and Creamed Spinach Dinner
NY strip steak (12 oz)
salt, pepper
olive oil
mushrooms (sliced)
garlic (1 clove)
shallots (2 TBS)
spinach (5 oz)
cream (¼ cup)
- Heat skillet
- Oil, salt, pepper on steak, sear in skillet to medium-rare (12 min.), then set aside
- Sautee mushrooms (3 min.), add garlic, salt, pepper (1 min.), transfer to bowl and cover
- Reduce heat, sautee shallots
- Add ½ spinach until just wilted, add other ½ spinach until just wilted, add cream, salt, pepper (2 min.)
- Slice steak, serve with mushrooms and spinach
